XXII Veteran's Day. Burgos 2022

On October 22 last, in the Castilian town of Burgos, the celebration of the XXII Veteran's Day of the Royal Brotherhood of Veterans of the three Armies and GC took place, organized this year by the Army, and more specifically by the Field Artillery Regiment number 11, located in the town of Castrillo del Val, and which is the oldest in Spain, whose origin dates back to 1710.

HE Mr. GD. Mr. Rafael Roldán Tudela, new COMGEIM

The Commander General of the Marine Corps Rafael Roldán Tudela was born in Villacarrillo (Jaén) on February 22, 1961. He entered the Navy in 1980 and received his Lieutenant commission in 1985. In that same year he was assigned as Section Chief of Rifles to the Tercio de Armada, a Unit to which he has been linked for most of his career.

A Marine at the head of the Fleet.

The Commander General of the Marine Infantry, Division General, Mr. Antonio Planells Palau is, since last February 11, Admiral of the Fleet (ALFLOT). A position that he assumes on an interim basis, until the new ALFLOT is appointed, who would come to replace Admiral Antonio Martorell, appointed Admiral Chief of Staff of the Navy (AJEMA) this Tuesday. In this way, the pieces continue to move in the top leadership of the Armed Forces. It should be remembered that Admiral Martorell replaces Admiral Teodoro Lo pez Calderon as AJEMA, who was promoted to Chief of Defense Staff (JEMAD) a little over two weeks ago, following the resignation of Air Force General Miguel Angel Villarroya as a result of the controversy over the vaccination of the military. Assuming this position, General Planells currently holds three positions of maximum responsibility. The interim Fleet Admiral joins those who already served as Commander General of the Marine Corps (COMGEIM) and Commander of the European Union's 'Atalanta' operation, which combats piracy in the Indian Ocean. This last position will pass next February 19 to Vice Admiral Eugenio Díaz del Río.

10 years since the foundation of AVIME 1537.

The definitive charter of our association was signed on May 30, 2010.

But AVIME 1537 was actually founded between January and February of that same year.

2010, when a couple of veteran Marines decided to create it.

For this, it was essential to gather a minimum of founding partners, so

Several acquaintances were invited to be part of the project.

Now

We have been almost 12 years, with the illusion of being able to continue forward with desire

to work for veterans.

CORONA VIRUS COVID-19, and the collaboration of AVIME 1537

Being aware of the current needs, and of the shortage of material, since March 22, our association has started a fundraising campaign among its partners to donate them to the Military Emergency Unit (UME) of 33 backpacks fumigators with capacity for 16 liters each. The delivery was made at the Torrejón de Ardoz Air Base, as agreed with the Commander of the HQ UME J-14 (Logistics section), and the transport of the material will be managed by the distributor of the fumigation backpacks.

II Solidarity mark AVIME 1537, José Ramón Cué memorial

September 20 and 21, 2019.

On the occasion of the II Solidarity March Avime 1537, José Ramón Cué Memorial, we have organized the first coexistence of "Avime 1537"

In this way we have achieved a double objective. In the first place, facilitate the assistance of our partners from other regions further away to said march/memorial and a few days of coexistence between associates. And secondly, a place to maintain a friendly relationship and some talks and activities between fellow veteran Marines.
These activities are in favor of CÁRITAS CASTRENSE DE LA ARMADA.

All participants received a DIPLOMA certifying that they have taken part in said March.

Said march passed along the route of the Trenches of Guadarrama, Madrid.

Giving us the Honorary Brother Diploma and a commemorative plaque.

Collaboration agreement between 31 January Tercios and AVIEM 1537

March 7, 2018, Since the birth of 31 January Tercios has always had the purpose of structuring all movements around the Spanish Tercios. One of the most important objectives consists in capturing an entire current, each day greater, favorable to the infantry of the Hispanic Monarchy of the 16th and 17th centuries. In this sense, the National Association of Veterans of the Marine Infantry is inserted really well because, always, they have had the memory of the thirds very present. They feel children of these military units.

Joint International Exercise

Help the International Federation of Marine Reserves and Veterans

On July 24, 2018, Greece suffered serious fires, which during the day on Tuesday, being focused on the coastal area, one of the most affected being the municipality of Rafina, 30 km from the capital. Through the media communication and through our brothers-in-arms from the “Hellenica Marines Reserves Corps” we received information about the seriousness of the events. Our associates immediately proposed to participate in an economic aid to be able to alleviate as much as possible to so much need. AVIME 1537, started a campaign that, despite the vacation period, was participating to the extent of its possibilities. In order to know how to get this help, our colleague Renos Nazos, President of the Hellenica Marines Reserves Corps, contacted the municipal authorities who, thanked us for our idea, and provided us with the account number of the Economic Department of the Rafina City Council. On August 24, our humble contribution was transferred to that City Council, with the wish of all our partners and of Spain, for a speedy recovery and little by little they return to normality. Good luck and lots of encouragement. You are not alone AVIME 1537
